“This is Our Story…”

Born in 1942 in Çumra, Nurullah Ercan graduated as a Mining Engineer from METU in 1964. Afterward, he served in the military as a reserve officer teacher in the village of Odunboğazı, near Şereflikoçhisar, from 1966 to 1967.

Our journey begins here…

On a snowy winter day in 1966, the young teacher got off the bus on the main road and began walking toward the village of Odunboğazı. It was nearing evening, the weather had darkened, and the snowstorm had intensified. With the snowstorm, the road leading to the village from the mountains and hills had disappeared, and determining the direction had become difficult. As darkness and heavy snowfall combined, hopelessness grew, and the feeling of being lost became stronger… Just when hope was beginning to fade, the barking of the village dogs at the stranger brought a new light of hope. As the barking increased, the owner of a house on the edge of the village came out, and the sight of the house's light was as effective and refreshing for Mr. Nurullah as the sunrise after total darkness.

The rest continued with a dim light from an oil lamp, a warm room, and peaceful rest…

The villagers of Odunboğazı took great care of the young teacher with love and affection, showing an exemplary level of hospitality. Mr. Nurullah never forgot the sincerity of the village and later employed many of the village's young people in his workplaces.

Currently continuing his work in various sectors, Nurullah Ercan has never forgotten his responsibilities to his country and people while growing his businesses. He has contributed many works to various provinces of our country. In 2025, his son, Ali Ercan, with the belief and effort of his father, established the Meliha Ercan Foundation in memory of his late sister, Meliha Ercan, to carry on this meaningful journey and turn people’s dreams into reality. With new investments and projects, we continue our work with high social impact, contributing to the development of our society.

Our roadmap, which shapes what, where and how we will direct our resources within the scope of philanthropy, will continue to shed light on our youth with our attention, reliability and devoted work.
