Meliha Ercan Foundation Scholarship Program
Candidates who meet the conditions listed below can apply online through the Scholarship Application Platform or Mobile Application between September 1 and September 30. Applications will be evaluated by the Meliha Ercan Foundation Scholarship Committee, and selected candidates will be asked to provide documents that verify the information they submitted during the application. Students who submit complete documentation and whose information is verified as accurate will be invited for an interview. Students who qualify for the scholarship after the interview will open a TL account in their name at the designated bank. Scholarship recipients can perform transactions such as cash withdrawals, EFT/transfers, and other bank-related services at ATM points without any fees, using the bank's card. Additionally, they will be able to transfer money via internet banking without incurring any charges, outside of ATM points. There is no scholarship support available for students studying abroad.
Eligibility Conditions for Scholarship Application
The Meliha Ercan Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial support and contribute to the individual development of female students who are successful in academic and social competencies and in need of financial assistance during their studies, through monetary aid and organized educational programs.
- 1. Must be a Turkish citizen (T.C. citizen)
- 2. Must be in need of financial support
- 3. For students in intermediate years, must have an annual general GPA of at least 2.50 (or its equivalent) on a 4.0 scale
- 4. Must have no criminal record
- 5. Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an educational institution
Vision of Our Scholarship Program

Meliha Ercan Foundation Scholarships Will Be Terminated Under the Following Conditions:
- 1. Failure to pass the class
- 2. Providing false information or documents regarding requested information and documents
- 3. Receiving a scholarship from another institution (except for the student loan received from the Credit and Dormitories Institution)
- 4. Having an annual GPA (transcript GPA) below 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
- 5. Failing to make necessary updates on time, which may result in the risk of not receiving the scholarship payment for the relevant month
- 6. If the scholarship holder changes their school or department through horizontal transfer, they must share the relevant documents with the Foundation officials. Depending on the current quota situation for the department and school, the scholarship status will be reevaluated
- 7. Leaving the educational institution, being expelled, or temporarily suspended from the institution
- 8. Receiving a disciplinary penalty or being sentenced to a prison sentence or a heavy fine
- 9. The scholarship duration is equal to the normal duration of the program the student is enrolled in. In case of extension of the education period due to health, family, or other reasons, the scholarship holder can apply to the Foundation with supporting documents and a cover letter to request an evaluation of the situation. If the reasons are deemed valid by the Foundation's management, the scholarship duration may be extended
- 10. The scholarship duration is equal to the normal duration of the program the student is enrolled in. In case of extension of the education period due to health, family, or other reasons, the scholarship holder can apply to the Foundation with supporting documents and a cover letter to request an evaluation of the situation. If the reasons are deemed valid by the Foundation's management, the scholarship duration may be extended.
- 11. Scholarship holders participating in student exchange programs (such as Erasmus) and receiving their degree from the university they are registered at upon return will continue to receive their scholarship during their time abroad, provided that the required documents and information are submitted to the Foundation. Failure to submit these documents will result in the termination of the scholarship.
- 12. Failure to collect the scholarship deposited into the account for three (3) consecutive months without a valid excuse will result in the suspension or complete cancellation of the scholarship.
